Jessica Christopher's 'Skin Deep' screens at Female Filmmakers' Night at Midwest Film Fest

First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival continue with the inaugural Female Filmmakers Night on Tuesday, March 2nd at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema in Chicago, Illinois USA, and they're showing the short horror film Skin Deep directed by Jessica Christopher. Psychological horror film weaving special effects and production design into a haunting tale of hidden childhood memories. In 2009 she also wrote, produced and co-directed Frozen, a short horror film with Darren Cox.

Other notable fantastical shorts screening include music video Race You by Samantha Hart and Jennifer Moody, animated Look for Me by Laura Heit, and Whirleybird by Danielle Corches. Check out the show times and trailers...

Race You. A visually stunning and poetic music video for breakout band Elizabeth and the Catapult that follows a young woman's journey to escape her past fears as she is led through a maze by her younger self to find her way home. Directed by Samantha Hart and Jennifer Moody.

Look For Me. What would you do if you woke up one day and you were invisible? Official Selection, London International Film Festival. Directed and animated by Laura Heit.

Whirlybird is a story based in magical realism and set in the open landscape of the Midwest. Dragons, nightmares, and a little girl. Written, directed and produced by Danielle Corches.

Filmmakers, along with select cast and crew, will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.
